Always Be Learning

For some reason, people tend to think that learning is only done in school and that when you’re done with school, you’re done learning. People mistakenly think that they now know everything they’ll need to know for the rest of their lives.

A lot of people I’ve met think that way, and it’s a mindset that is harming our society. The world is ever-changing, and we need to be constantly growing to adapt. That means that we need to never stop learning.

I’ve graduated from high school, went on to college, and even have a master’s degree. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t learned much since I’ve finished going to school. I’ve learned so much about business, sales, management, personal finance, parenting, technology tools, and so much more since my last days in college.

In every career, no matter what field you’re in, you always need to be learning. With time, new things get introduced. New trends or current events affect your profession directly or indirectly.

In education, I have seen new theories of learning,  new instructional strategies, and new educational tools that spawned from increasing use of technology and the internet. As a teacher, I’ve had to learn about them and how to successfully implement them for the benefit of my students.

Learning also keeps life from becoming boring. There is so much to learn about, learn to do, or simply discover. If you find something awe-inspiring, it’s refreshing.

Learning keeps life anew. Keep doing it.
