Life rewards action. Taking action is how you get things done. Putting in the effort gets you closer to your goals.
Not taking action leads to stagnation. Instead of being sharpened, your skills become dull. Motivation dwindles. Passion slowly vanishes. Without action, you can't live the life you've always dreamed of having.
I know that inaction usually stems from fear. Fear of failure or fear of change can be overwhelming and/or scary. Fear is a major thing that freezes people in place. It causes them to stop. Many people don't try out of fear of being criticized or judged. One thing that you need to know is that no matter what, the people who love you will still support you whether or not you succeed initially or at your next attempt (or every attempt after that). They are the people who are always there for you.
From my experience, action is the only way that I've been able to reach my goals. It helped me attain my education and advance my career. In college, I actively chose to spend extra time and effort in working on my projects and studying for my exams. In my career, I've taken many leaps and applied for many promotions (I eventually got one!). Taking action and initiative are also how I've built and maintained healthy relationships in my life with my friends and family. I've taken the initiative to reach out to people to connect (in any form of communication), hang out, or reconnect. Passively waiting only gets you so far.
Action almost always brings you closer to success. Even if you take action and it "fails," know that it was a lesson learned and you can move forward both smarter and wiser because of that experience. If what you do is successful, but not as successful as you'd like, then that's still progress and a mini-lesson-learned. Whether what you do is a success, a failure, or a mixture of both, it's all feedback that you'll get based on your specific actions.
Knowing all this, there is no reason to not take action today. The life you've always dreamed of awaits.
