If you're like me, stress is a part of everyday life. Absolutely anything can be overwhelming and/or stressful.

Work. School. Family. Responsibilities come from all angles. Sometimes balancing it all is hard. No matter what, it's important to be calm and keep a level head.

What helps me the most is writing. It helps me soothe my soul. In my exponentially-adventurous life, it helps keep me grounded.

Especially when I feel overwhelmed, sometimes all I want is to have some private time and let myself relax and reflect. When I write out how I'm feeling, I let it all out on paper like a fighter sparring with a punching bag. For work or school, I usually write professionally. It's organized and polished. When I write for me, it's unapologetically messy. It's my stream of consciousness and my current state of mind. Spelling and grammar may not be perfect, but that's okay.

Putting words to paper is both soothing and empowering. It releases negative energy from you and spreads positive energy outward. No matter what walk of life you come from, writing has a lot of benefits for you.
